Due to technical difficulties, Richard Strauss’s comic opera, The Silent Woman, the co-production of the Hungarian National Philharmonic and the Palace of Arts originally scheduled for 4 and 6 October 2012 is to be staged on new dates in the next season. The new dates are 10 and 12 October 2013.
The Hungarian National Philharmonic would like to inform the Klemperer season ticket holders and those who would be interested in this performance that, instead of the opera planned for 06 October, an orchestra concert will be staged at 7:30 pm. The guest pianist of the concert is going to be Boris Berezovsky and the National Philharmonic Orchestra will be conducted by Zoltán Kocsis.
Programme: R. Strauss: The Silent Woman – Prologue, A. Khachaturian: Piano Concerto in D-flat major, P.I. Tchaikovsky: Symphony No. 4.
Tickets purchased for the opera are valid for the concert with the new program or may be refunded only at their points of purchase until 20 September 2012.
Those who have pre-purchased tickets for the performance announced for 04 October may be refunded at their points of purchase or at the Palace of Arts box offices until 20 October 2012; season ticket holders may select a ticket for any performance organized by the Palace of Arts for the 2012/2013 season instead of the cancelled show, at the original value.
