Journey – Violin Concerto with symphony orchestra (First public performance)

Following the premi?re of violin concerto originally composed for Kristóf Baráti and the Budapest Strings, the version for symphony orchestra has been completed. The work consists of six short movements. All of them bear the name of either a town or a region, and accordingly they are dance movements or encapsulate a typical atmosphere. The composer described them as follows:
1.Le Havre
Dance – with the excitement of departure
2.Andalucía
My attraction to the emotional gamut of the Latin peoples made me compose a more complex movement.
3.Liverpool
The city of the Beatles. The movement is a bow of the head.
4.Jerusalem
So many historical and cultural memories, so much pain and joie de vivre. I profoundly desire peace.
5.Bihar
Hungary and Transylvania. I am only interested in the quality of man. A kind of “retire within yourself” kind of music.
6.Dublin
I’d return any day. The atmosphere of Irish pubs.
