Tour in Japan

The first concert takes place in Suwonm South Korea. The concert is part of the year long programme celebrating the 25th anniversary of establishing the diplomatic relations between the two countries. The orchestra will perform Young-Jo Lee’s piece titled Glory of Dawning dedicated to this special occasion as well as Beethoven’s Piano Concerto in G major featuring word renown Korean Pianist Kun Woo Paik in the Gyeonggi Arts Center.

 

The tour goes on in Japan with Zoltán Kocsis conducting the Orchestra five times and Kobayashi Ken-Ichiro three times. Besides giving four concerts in Tokyo, they will visit Nagoya, Nara, Osaka and Fukushima performing works by Glinka, Tchaikovsky, Liszt- Kocsis, Liszt, Mozart, Schubert and Brahms the soloist being the renown Japanese Violinist, Mariko Senju playing on a special Stradivarius, called „Duranti” and Pianist Miyuji Kaneko who is half Hungarian – half Japanese, born in Japan but brought up in Hungary.
Zoltán Kocsis will not only conduct the ensemble but will also be the soloist if Mozart’s Piano Concerto in E flat minor.
 

The tour is organised by the Japan Arts Agency which has long been presenting performances by top-level musicians and performing artists including the National Philharmonic.
