The tour titled „Our common land is music” is to be continued in Szabadka, Serbia

After our successful concerts in Kosice (Slovakia), Uzhhorod and Lviv (Ukraine), our orchestra spent 8 days touring in Transylvania giving concerts n six venues including Sibiu- Nagyszeben, Targu Mures- Marosvásárhely, Miercurea Ciuc-Csíkszereda, Sfântu Gheorghe-Sepsiszentgyörgy, Cluj-Napoca-Kolozsvár and Oradea-Nagyvárad.

 

The tour titled „Our common land is music” is to be continued in Szabadka, Serbia.

 

Just like in our previous concerts in addition to Kodály’s Galánta dances and Bartók’s Concerto we will perform a piece from one of the famous composers of the hosting country, thus Stevan Hristić: The Legend of Ohrid – Ballet Suite will be played.

Stevan Hristić (1885 – 1958), was the most popular Serbian composer,conductor, and pedagogue and pivotal in the development of Serbian art music of the first half of the 20th century.He is remembered best for his technically cultivated compositions in the Neoromanticist, and Romanticist-Impressionist styles.
