Balázs Fülei - piano - guest artist

Balázs Fülei,Hungarian pianist was born in Kecskemét, Hungary in 1984. He started to learn music at the age of eight He got admitted to the Béla Bartók Conservatory, Budapest, where his professors were prof. Gábor Eckhardt and prof. Balázs Réti. He graduated from the Franz Liszt Academy of Music, Budapest, in 2008 from the class of György Nádor, prof. Márta Gulyás and prof. Balázs Réti. In 2009-10 he was studying in Tel Aviv University, The Buchmann-Mehta School of Music with prof. Emanuel Krasovsky.Significant stations of his national and international carreer were the Great Concert Hall of the Liszt Academy, the Palace of Arts in Budapest, the Wiener Konzerthaus, the Amsterdam Concertgebouw, the Carnegie Hall in New York and the Kioi Hallin Tokyo where he gave solo recitals. He is a requently invited guest of prestigious festivals. His name is attached to premieres of contemporary works and radio recordings. He was awarded at a number of national and international competitions: in 2003 he was first prize of the 10th Andor Földes Piano Competition. In 2005 he was winner of the 43th „Arcangelo Speranza” International Piano Competititon in Taranto, Italy and then won prizes in Milan, Cagliari and Moscow. In 2006 he recorded Chopin and Liszt ballades on DVD in Tokyo. In 2010, he was awarded with the Junior Prima Prize, the most prestigious award in Hungary for young musicians, in 2011 with Artisjus-prize, and in 2012 with the award of The Solti Foundation. Since 2012 Balázs Fülei has been an assistant professor at the Liszt Academy of Music, Budapest.
