Argentine world star at the Music Harvest

José Cura is considered by many to be one of the greatest tenors of our time. His first opera performance was on the stage of Verona in 1992. Two years later he won the Operalia international singing competition, founded by Plácido Domingo. The young tenor has been hailed as the new star of the 1990s, with contract offers and a wide international acclaim from audiences in Paris, London, Milan and New York. In 1997 he had a tremendous success in the role of his favourite composer, Giuseppe Verdi’s Otello, which he has sung in front of audiences more than 200 times during his career. “I pray to God that my artistic mission will bring peace to the souls who encounter my music”. His artistic credo has been the main driving force behind his art, that we’ll also be able to experience on 8 September at the opening concert of the Music Harvest festival at the Kodály Center. Don’t miss the world star’s performance, tickets are already on sale!
