“It is only possible to sing when the heart also bursts into song.”
Miklós Radnóti
Anna Sára Nagy began her musical studies by playing the violin and simultaneously learned folk singing at the Óbuda Folk Music School. At the age of 10, she became a
member of the Hungarian Radio Children’s Choir and later graduated from the Szent István Király Music Secondary School with a focus on solfège-music theory and vocal
performance. Since 2021, she has been a member of the Purcell Choir, led by György Vashegyi, and she has sung with the Collegium Vocale Gent under the
direction of Philippe Herreweghe since 2025. As a soloist, she has collaborated on several occasions with the Budapest Bach Consort and the Myzla Ensemble. Early
music and singing in chamber ensembles are particularly close to her heart, which she has demonstrated to audiences in various formations as a recurring performer at
the Veszprém Early Music Days. She has been a member of the soprano section of the National Choir since September 2023.
