Ildikó Megyimórecz initially graduated from the classical vocal department of the Liszt Academy. After later studying oratorio and Lied singing, she was then accepted on to the opera singing course, where she studied under Éva Marton. In 2011, she gained third place in the Szeged Contemporary Music Context, before winning first place the following year in the Fifth Hungarian National Singing Contest. In 2015, she won second place in the Contemporary International Singing Contest.
