Szilvia Hamvasi - soprano - permanent guest conductor

A három szopránszólista egyaránt kiváló teljesítményt nyújtott; ám hangulatteremtő készségével Hamvasi Szilvia a többieknél is jobban magával ragadta a közönséget...

She graduated as a chorus conductor at the Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music, besides that she studied solo singing with Julia Bikfalvy at the Leo Weiner Conservatory of Music, Budapest. Between 1993 and 1996 she was the member of the Hungarian Opera studio, and she debuted as Gilda in Rigoletto. Since 2001 as the permanent member of the Deutche Oper am Rhein based in Dusseldorf and Duisburg -besides Mozart’s operas- she has appeared on stage in such diverse roles as Mimi in Puccini’s La Boheme, the leading role in Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor and Euridice in Monteverdi’s Orfeo. She likes taking part in oratories as well: she recorded Brahms German Requiem under the baton of Tamás Vásáry. She was awarded for Excellence for her Mozart C-minor mass recording.
