I graduated from the Bartók Béla Conservatory between 1972 and 1974. In 1977, I earned a degree in the double bass from the Liszt Academy. From 1975 to 1977, alongside my academic studies, I was a member of the MÁV Symphony Orchestra. In 1977, I was admitted to the Hungarian State Concert Orchestra. I remain a member of its successor, the Hungarian National Philharmonic. Over ten years from 1986, I was the leader and a member of the Budapest Chamber Orchestra and we gave numerous concerts at home and abroad. In 2023, the President of the Republic awarded me the Hungarian Order of Merit, Cross of Silver. My favourite composers are Béla Bartók and Richard Strauss.
