He studied piano and conducting at the Music University Franz Liszt in Budapest until 1977. During his studies as a conductor in the Hungarian State Opera House, he was granted scholarship by Sir Georg Solti so he could study at the Music University in Wien.\r\nFrom 1987 to 1995 he was the first conductor of the Theater Bremen and from 1995 to 2008 he was the musical director of the Theater in Trier. Furthermore he is the first guest conductor of the Hungarian State Opera House and the Radio Symphony Orchestra Budapest. As a conductor he is regular guest in the great Concerthalls and festivals in Europe.\r\nIstv\u00e1n D\u00e9nes made numerous radio performance and recorded albums for the Hungarian Radio Budapest, Radio Bremen and Radio Bavaria. In 1996 he conducted the Opera Sarema by Zemlinsky that was performed for the first time.\r\nAs a composer Istv\u00e1n D\u00e9nes wrote several pieces, including the \u201cTreveris -cantate\u201d for two women opera singer and for chorus\/orchestra, inspired by an ancient text written by Ausonius and Alquinus. In 2000 he wrote an interesting piece \u201cNokia Walz for piano\u201d and \u201cNokia-Walz for Orchestra\u201d incorporating the mobile phone for the first time in history of classical music.\r\nIn the last years he called attention to himself with a lot of discoveries, debut and first performance. (Gombos L\u00e1szl\u00f3)<\/p>{:}{:en}The <em>Carnival Overture<\/em> (op. 92) by Czech composer Anton\u00edn Dvo\u0159\u00e1k (1841\u20131904) is often played as the first item in concert programmes. At the time it was written (1891), the composer had reached the zenith of his popularity. Before leaving for the United States to take up his job as director at the National Conservatory of Music of America in New York City, he composed <em>Nature, Life <\/em>and<em> Love<\/em>, a trilogy of overture. It received its world premi\u00e8re under the composer\u2019s baton at the Rudolfinum in Prague on 28 April 1892. Later, however, Dvo\u0159\u00e1k decided that they should be separate works and eventually published them as <em>In Nature\u2019s Realm<\/em> (op. 91), <em>Carnival Overture<\/em> (op. 93) and <em>Othello<\/em> (op. 93).\r\n\r\n<!--more-->\r\n\r\nThe main theme of <em>Carnival<\/em> is not unlike an operatic crowd scene. According to the composer\u2019s description a lonely traveller arrives at dusk in a town celebrating carnival, loud with merrymaking and revelry. In the nocturne-like middle section the English horn, the flute, the oboe, the clarinet and the violin have a solo role, and amid swinging melodies the pentatonic \u201cnature\u201d theme from <em>In Nature\u2019s Realm<\/em> is sounded more than once. Az \u201eeredeti\u201d 2. jazz-szvit az els\u0151 ut\u00e1n n\u00e9gy \u00e9vvel, 1938-ban keletkezett, Viktor Knusevickij (a neves csell\u00f3m\u0171v\u00e9sz testv\u00e9re) \u00e1llami jazz-zenekara sz\u00e1m\u00e1ra, ennek kott\u00e1ja azonban a m\u00e1sodik vil\u00e1gh\u00e1bor\u00fa alatt elveszett.
