This concerts takes the audiences on a special adventure. Put the director\u2019s glass hat on your head, think up a magic spell, touch the object in front of you, and believe us, it will come to life. All you need to do is listen to the music, because the composer has set a few rules, but following his ideas through, adding to them and staging them is arguably one of the greatest challenges in the world. The story might be familiar. A bored little boy refuses to write his homework. His mother scolds him and locks him in his room till supper. (The work was written in the 1920s when parents were stricter.) The little boy goes on the rampage, not sparing walls, fireplace, furniture or books. He is very surprised, however, when his \u201cvictims\u201d come to life and plot against him. A muzsikus csal\u00e1dban sz\u00fcletett m\u0171v\u00e9sz m\u00e1r kisgyermekk\u00e9nt kezdett zongor\u00e1zni, majd fuvol\u00e1zni, k\u00e9s\u0151bb tanult nagyb\u0151g\u0151zni \u00e9s \u00fct\u0151hangszereken j\u00e1tszani. A Bart\u00f3k B\u00e9la Zenem\u0171v\u00e9szeti Szakk\u00f6z\u00e9piskola n\u00f6vend\u00e9ke volt fuvola szakon, diplom\u00e1j\u00e1t a Liszt Ferenc Zenem\u0171v\u00e9szeti F\u0151iskola fuvola \u00e9s karnagy szak\u00e1n szerezte. Ezt k\u00f6vet\u0151en a Magyar \u00c1llami Hangversenyzenekar fuvolist\u00e1jak\u00e9nt dolgozott 1990-ig. Vez\u00e9nyelni a hetvenes \u00e9vek m\u00e1sodik fel\u00e9ben kezdett, el\u0151bb a Miskolci Szimfonikus Zenekar m\u00e1sodkarnagya, majd a Sz\u00e9kesfeh\u00e9rv\u00e1ri Szimfonikus Zenekar karnagya lett. 1984-t\u0151l a Budapesti K\u00f3rus vezet\u0151je, 1986-ban az \u00c1HZ betan\u00edt\u00f3 karmestere, 1990-t\u0151l 2016. \u00e1prilis 1-ig\u00a0 az \u00c1llami \u00c9nekkar - ma Nemzeti \u00c9nekkar - karigazgat\u00f3ja volt. Karmesterk\u00e9nt Eur\u00f3pa szinte minden orsz\u00e1g\u00e1ban \u00e9s Jap\u00e1nban is megfordult, s sz\u00e1mos lemezfelv\u00e9tele k\u00e9sz\u00fclt a Hungaroton, Naxos \u00e9s Portugalsom kiad\u00f3kn\u00e1l. 2015-ben Bart\u00f3k-P\u00e1sztory-d\u00edjjal t\u00fcntett\u00e9k ki.<\/p>{:}{:en}

He was born into a musical family, and as a young child, studied both piano and flute. Later, he learned the double bass and percussion. He was a student in the flute faculty of the B\u00e9la Bart\u00f3k Music College in Budapest, and later graduated from the Franz Liszt Academy from both the flute and choir conducting faculties. Until 1990 he was a flautist at the Hungarian State Concert Orchestra. He began conducting in the second half of the 1970's, being deputy conductor of the Miskolc Symphony Orchestra, and then choir master of the Sz\u00e9kesfeh\u00e9rv\u00e1r Symphony Orchestra. From 1984, he was the leader of the Budapest Chorus. In 1986, he became a repetiteur at the State Orchestra, a post he only left when he was made choir master of the State Choir (now National Choir). He has performed as a conductor in virtually all of the European countries and has also worked in Japan.
