Dear Audience,<\/p>\n

The Hungarian government has introduced new public safety measures in order to help prevent the further spread of the coronavirus epidemic. These measures came into force on 11 November 2020. We are also affected by the restrictions, as \u201cIt is prohibited to hold any kind of event, including cultural events.\u201d The new decree will remain in effect until 11 December 2020. As a result, we regret to inform you that the following concerts organised by the Hungarian National Philharmonic have been cancelled.<\/p>\n

\nYou may request a refund or exchange for tickets or portions of season tickets you have purchased either in person or online within 60 days after the cancelled concert. You can request a refund or exchange your ticket by writing to jegy@filharmonikusok.hu or by calling +36 (1) 411-6636; we will need to know the bar code number of the tickets or season tickets, and in the case of an exchange, the name of the concert you would like to exchange it for.<\/p>\n

He also completed master classes with Johannes Moesus, J\u00fcrgen J\u00fcrgens and Yuri Simonov. He has been active as a choir leader since the age of 22 and served for nearly 17 years as the choirmaster of the Vasas Ensemble Chorus. In 2002, he founded the Lajos Vass Chamber Choir, which he led until 2017. He has also worked as the music director of Debrecen\u2019s Csokonai Theatre and later the National Theatre of P\u00e9cs, as well as holding the position of chief choirmaster of the Hungarian Radio Choir. He has appeared as a guest conductor and choirmaster with numerous Hungarian symphonic orchestras and professional choirs. Somos has also made guest appearances with orchestras in other countries, including the Salerno<\/em> Philharmonic Orchestra<\/em> in Italy and, in Japan, the Sakata Philharmonic Orchestra. He is frequently invited to Spain, Italy, Russia, Romania, Greece, Macedonia, Austria, Germany and China as both a choirmaster and conductor. A teacher at the Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music, he is regularly asked to serve as a jury member of musical competitions and festivals. He serves as the vice president of the Hungarian Association<\/em> of Choirs, Orchestras and Folk Ensembles (K\u00d3TA). His professional work was recognised with a Rub\u00e1nyi Award, which was followed by a Liszt Award in 2014. In 2015, he earned his DLA, graduating summa cum laude. Their sense of identify was strengthened by common rejection of the romantic psychologising of contemporary musical aesthetics and principally of the Wagner cult. As a result of a newspaper article, they were nicknamed Les Six (the six, by analogy to the Mighty Five of 19th Century Russia) in 1920 and the name stuck. One of these young Frenchmen was Francis Poulenc (1899-1963) who was also the youngest of the group. Poulenc was encouraged by the others to turn his attention in the twenties to circus and ballet music. Later he was involved in his forging his own brand of neo-classicism, filling his works with humorous mockery and ironic references. In 1935, he rejoined the Catholic church and then wrote a number of ecclesiastical works. She has taken part in master classes held by \u00c1va B\u00e1tori, Krisztina Laki, Andrea Rost, Vikt\u00f3ria Vizin and J\u00e1nos \u00c1cs, and also sometimes takes the stage as a soloist, both with the Hungarian National Choir and other vocal ensembles. He was born in Debrecen in 1983. After his graduation from Kod\u00e1ly Zolt\u00e1n Secondary School of Music (solfeggio and music theory; church music) in 2002, he started his studies in the conservatoire of the University of Debrecen. He has been learning singing since the age of eighteen with dr. \u00c9va Mohos Nagy. He won the J\u00f3zsef Sim\u00e1ndy Memorial Singing Competition in Szeged in 2006, the Ferruccio Tagliavini International Singing Competition in 2007, and received a special award in the Hans Gabor Belvedere Singing Competition in Vienna a year later. He made his debut in the role of Melitone in La forza del destino in the Csokonai Theatre, Debrecen in 2005. In the next season he could be seen in the role of Sergeant Lescaut in Manon Lescaut and Enrico in Lucia di Lammermoor. Cec\u00edlia Sz\u00e9ll began her vocal studies at the Zolt\u00e1n Kod\u00e1ly Music College before graduating in 1996 from the singing, music and choir conducting faculty of ELTE University. Since 2000 she has been a member of the National Choir.<\/p>\r\n

Oratorio enjoys pride of place in her repertoire, particularly those by baroque and classical composers but she is also a noted exponent of modern music. She has been involved in a number of premieres, such as Gy\u00f6rgy Orb\u00e1n's Missa Tertia (2001), Michael Tippett: A Child Of Our Time (2005). She is also a resident soloist for orchestral services at the Matthias Church. Besides these activities, she is broadening her repertoire with lyric coloratura soprano roles.<\/p>\r\n

She is a regular guest at international festivals and concerts, such as Salzburg, Vienna and Padua.
