Mindkett\u0151 ak\u00e1r a v\u00e9gzetes betegs\u00e9gen emberfeletti er\u0151vel \u00e9s akarattal fel\u00fclkereked\u0151 Beethoven cred\u00f3ja lehetne, hiszen a s\u00f6t\u00e9ts\u00e9gb\u0151l vezetnek a vil\u00e1goss\u00e1gba, a b\u00e9kly\u00f3zotts\u00e1gb\u00f3l a teljes szabads\u00e1gba. Az \u00e9let\u00e9t a szabads\u00e1geszme olt\u00e1r\u00e1n fel\u00e1ldoz\u00f3 n\u00e9metalf\u00f6ldi h\u0151st k\u00f6z\u00e9ppontba \u00e1ll\u00edt\u00f3 Goethe-sz\u00ednm\u0171h\u00f6z \u2013 a szint\u00e9n n\u00e9metalf\u00f6ldi felmen\u0151kkel is rendelkez\u0151 \u2013 Beethoven 1809-ben \u00e9s 1810-ben \u00edrta meg a k\u00eds\u00e9r\u0151zen\u00e9t, amelynek teljes elhangz\u00e1sa k\u00fcl\u00f6nleges alkalom, hiszen t\u00f6bbnyire csak a nyit\u00e1nyt szokt\u00e1k j\u00e1tszani. Miut\u00e1n az udvar \u00e9s Nap\u00f3leon k\u00f6z\u00f6tt \u0151sszel megsz\u00fcletett a b\u00e9keszerz\u0151d\u00e9s \u00e9s az \u00e9let lassan visszat\u00e9rt a r\u00e9gi ker\u00e9kv\u00e1g\u00e1sba, m\u0171sorra t\u0171zt\u00e9k Goethe Egmont c\u00edm\u0171 trag\u00e9di\u00e1j\u00e1t, amelynek k\u00f6z\u00e9ppontj\u00e1ban \u00e9ppen az idegen zsarnoks\u00e1gt\u00f3l val\u00f3 megszabadul\u00e1s \u00e1ll. A sz\u00ednpadi k\u00eds\u00e9r\u0151zene meg\u00edr\u00e1s\u00e1ra Beethovent k\u00e9rt\u00e9k fel, akihez nemcsak a t\u00e9ma \u00e1llt k\u00fcl\u00f6n\u00f6sen k\u00f6zel, hanem Goeth\u00e9t a legnagyobb \u00e9l\u0151 \u00edr\u00f3nak tartotta. A zene nem k\u00e9sz\u00fclt el az 1810 m\u00e1jus v\u00e9gi premierre, de a harmadik el\u0151ad\u00e1s j\u00fanius 15-\u00e9n m\u00e1r Beethoven zen\u00e9j\u00e9vel zajlott.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><!--more-->\r\nA darab a 16. sz\u00e1zadi holland nemes, Lamoral Egmont gr\u00f3f t\u00f6rt\u00e9net\u00e9t dolgozza fel. A gr\u00f3f eleinte loj\u00e1lis volt a n\u00e9metalf\u00f6ldet is birtokl\u00f3 II. F\u00fcl\u00f6p spanyol kir\u00e1lyhoz, de az er\u0151s\u00f6d\u0151 zsarnoks\u00e1g l\u00e1tt\u00e1n n\u00e9pe oldal\u00e1ra \u00e1llt. B\u00e1tor ki\u00e1ll\u00e1sa miatt Alba herceg elfogatta \u00e9s kiv\u00e9geztette. Hal\u00e1la nem volt hi\u00e1baval\u00f3: ez ind\u00edtotta el a n\u00e9metalf\u00f6ldi szabas\u00e1gharcot, melynek gy\u0151zelm\u00e9t a dr\u00e1ma el\u0151re vet\u00edti.\r\nBeethoven nyit\u00e1nyt \u00e9s kilenc \u201esz\u00e1mot\u201d kompon\u00e1lt a sz\u00edndarabhoz szopr\u00e1n sz\u00f3l\u00f3ra, ad libitum f\u00e9rfi narr\u00e1torra \u00e9s zenekarra: az 5 felvon\u00e1st \u00f6sszek\u00f6t\u0151 n\u00e9gy k\u00f6zzen\u00e9t, n\u00e9gy jelenethez kapcsol\u00f3d\u00f3 zenei bet\u00e9tet \u00e9s egy r\u00f6vid lez\u00e1r\u00f3 szimfonikus t\u00e9telt. A m\u0171 legismertebb \u00e9s leger\u0151teljesebb r\u00e9sze a szon\u00e1ta form\u00e1ban \u00edr\u00f3dott nyit\u00e1ny, amely t\u00f6bbnyire \u00f6n\u00e1ll\u00f3an, zenekari koncerteken sz\u00f3lal meg. Mag\u00e1ba s\u0171r\u00edti az eg\u00e9sz dr\u00e1ma f\u0151 karaktereit \u00e9s gondolat\u00e1t: az elnyom\u00e1s f\u00e1jdalm\u00e1t \u00e9rz\u00e9keltet\u0151 lass\u00fa bevezet\u00e9s v\u00e9g\u00e9n mintegy megsz\u00fcletik a f\u0151 zenei anyag, a szerz\u0151 k\u00f6z\u00e9ps\u0151 korszak\u00e1nak jellegzetes, h\u0151si zen\u00e9je, amely st\u00edlus\u00e1ban az 5. szimf\u00f3nia k\u00f6zeli rokona. A k\u00f3da el\u0151tt hirtelen meg\u00e1ll egy pillanatra a zene sodr\u00e1sa: a heged\u0171k k\u00e9t hangos, c\u2019-g mot\u00edvuma mintha Egmont kiv\u00e9gz\u00e9s\u00e9t \u00e1br\u00e1zoln\u00e1, majd f-mollb\u00f3l F-d\u00farba v\u00e1ltva hars\u00e1ny gy\u0151zelmi zene z\u00e1rja a nyit\u00e1nyt.\r\nAz I. felvon\u00e1s 3. jelenet\u00e9ben a n\u0151i f\u0151szerepl\u0151, Kl\u00e1ra dalt \u00e9nekel a csat\u00e1ba indul\u00f3 seregr\u0151l \u00e9s az \u00e9len lovagl\u00f3 kedves\u00e9r\u0151l, Egmontr\u00f3l (no.1, Die Trommel ger\u00fchret... \/ Sz\u00f3l a dob...). A k\u00eds\u00e9r\u0151zene m\u00e1sik vok\u00e1lis t\u00e9tel\u00e9t is \u0151 adja el\u0151 a III. felvon\u00e1sban (no.4 Freudvoll und leidvoll... \/ \u00d6r\u00f6mmel \u00e9s f\u00e1jdalommal telten...), rom\u00e1nc\u00e1ban ez\u00fattal a szerelem jelent\u0151s\u00e9g\u00e9t hangs\u00falyozza.\r\nA k\u00f6zzen\u00e9k a felvon\u00e1sok k\u00f6z\u00f6tt teremtenek kapcsolatot: az el\u0151z\u0151 szitu\u00e1ci\u00f3kb\u00f3l a k\u00f6vetkez\u0151 jelenet hangulat\u00e1ba vezetnek \u00e1t. Az I. felvon\u00e1s v\u00e9g\u00e9n Kl\u00e1ra Egmont miatt visszautas\u00edtja k\u00e9r\u0151j\u00e9t, akinek rezign\u00e1lt \u00e1br\u00e1zol\u00e1sa ut\u00e1n a II. felvon\u00e1s t\u00f6megjelenete k\u00f6vetkezik, benne a politiz\u00e1l\u00f3 n\u00e9metalf\u00f6ldiekkel (no.2).\r\nA k\u00f6vetkez\u0151 k\u00f6zzene (no.3) Egmontot jellemzi, a III. felvon\u00e1s ut\u00e1n pedig h\u00e1romf\u00e9le zene sz\u00f3lal meg (no.5): Kl\u00e1ra rom\u00e1nc\u00e1nak mot\u00edvuma oboa sz\u00f3l\u00f3val, Alba herceg bevonul\u00e1s\u00e1ra utal\u00f3 indul\u00f3, illetve a megf\u00e9leml\u00edtett alattval\u00f3k zen\u00e9je. Az 5. felvon\u00e1s el\u0151tt (no.6) a kor\u00e1bbi k\u00f6zzen\u00e9k anyagai t\u00e9rnek vissza, majd az Egmontot kiszabad\u00edtani nem tud\u00f3 Kl\u00e1ra \u00f6ngyilkoss\u00e1g\u00e1hoz kapcsol\u00f3dik a 3. jelenet gy\u00e1sz-zen\u00e9je (no.7). A z\u00e1r\u00f3jelenet (no.8) melodr\u00e1ma: a kiv\u00e9gz\u00e9s\u00e9re v\u00e1r\u00f3 f\u0151h\u0151s szavait a zenekar k\u00eds\u00e9ri. \u00c1lm\u00e1ban a Szabads\u00e1g-Istenn\u0151 jelenik meg Kl\u00e1ra alakj\u00e1ban, majd fel\u00e9bred \u00e9s viszik a veszt\u0151helyre. A hal\u00e1lban t\u00f6rt\u00e9nt megdics\u0151\u00fcl\u00e9se ut\u00e1n a nyit\u00e1ny k\u00f3d\u00e1j\u00e1nak visszat\u00e9r\u00e9se (no.9 \u201eGy\u0151zelmi szimf\u00f3nia\u201d) \u00fcnnep\u00e9lyes hangulatban z\u00e1rja Goethe dr\u00e1m\u00e1j\u00e1t. <em>(Gombos L\u00e1szl\u00f3)<\/em><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><\/p>{:}{:en}Beethoven\u2019s set of incidental music, Egmont (op. 84), was composed in 1809\u20131810 following Vienna\u2019s occupation by the French, for a performance of Goethe\u2019s tragedy focusing on liberation from foreign tyranny. In the 16th-century story the Dutch Count Egmont sides with his own people in the struggle against King Philip II of Spain, for which he is captured and executed.\r\n\r\nBeethoven composed nine \u201cnumbers\u201d for the drama. The best-known movement of the work is the overture which encapsulates the main characters and message of the play. After an introduction evocative of oppression, the composer\u2019s characteristic heroic music sounds, with a triumphant coda rounding off the overture.\r\n\r\nIn Act I the female protagonist Kl\u00e4rchen sings a song about the army marching into battle and her sweetheart Egmont (no.1, Die Trommel ger\u00fchret...), and sings the other vocal movement in Act III (no.4 Freudvoll und leidvoll...). The four entr\u2019actes (no.2, 3, 5 and 6) establish a connection between the acts as they anticipate the atmosphere of the following scene.\r\nIn Act V, unable to free Egmont, Kl\u00e4rchen commits suicide (no. 7). The closing scene (no. 8) is a melodrama. Awaiting execution, Egmont\u2019s words are accompanied by the orchestra. The Goddess of Liberty appears in a dream and carries him to the place of execution. His apotheosis in death closes Goethe\u2019s drama following the return of the overture\u2019s coda (no. 9). Hitelesnek kell elfogadnunk Schindler feljegyz\u00e9s\u00e9t, miszerint Beethoven a nyit\u00f3t\u00e9tel nevezetes mot\u00edvum\u00e1t azonos\u00edtotta a \"sorssal\": \"\u00cdgy z\u00f6rget a sors az ajt\u00f3n.\" A teljes szimf\u00f3nia az ember k\u00e9ts\u00e9gbeesett k\u00fczdelm\u00e9t \u00e9s az emberi akarat v\u00e9gs\u0151 diadal\u00e1t (Finale) p\u00e9ld\u00e1zza. Az alapgondolat ezek szerint: <em>per aspera ad astra <\/em>- meredek \u00faton a csillagokhoz. \"A szimf\u00f3nia mondhatni minden \u00fcteme ennek az alapeszm\u00e9nek a szolg\u00e1lat\u00e1ban \u00e1ll. A 20. sz\u00e1zad koncertgyakorlat\u00e1ban meglehet\u0151sen elkoptatott szimf\u00f3nia a formatani elemz\u00e9sek kedvelt p\u00e9ld\u00e1ja. A zenei tervez\u00e9s, a tematikus munka olyan b\u00e1mulatosan t\u00f6m\u00f6r, logikus, \u00e9s ebb\u0151l ad\u00f3d\u00f3an ellen\u00e1llhatatlanul sodr\u00f3 zenei szerkezetben \u00f6lt testet, mely nemcsak megalapozza a k\u00f6vetkez\u0151 \u00e9vsz\u00e1zad zenei \u00edzl\u00e9s\u00e9t, hanem \u00f6ssze is foglalja, esszenci\u00e1lisan s\u0171r\u00edti a megel\u0151z\u0151 \u00e9vtizedek, a klasszika, Haydn \u00e9s Mozart zenei nyelvezet\u00e9t.<\/p>{:}{:en}<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>I. Allegro<\/em><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\"Beethoven's music opens the floodgates to horror, fear, terror and a deluge of pain, and awakens the infinite longing which is the essence of romanticism. Beethoven is purely romantic and it is precisely for this reason that he is a musical composer; this is perhaps why he is generally less successful with vocal music which does not give room to such unlimited longing with effects depicted merely by words, and that his instrumental music rarely addresses the masses.\" These thoughts are from E. T. A. Hoffman's famous Beethoven article, reviewing the Fifth Symphony. The introductory part of this study, published in 1810, \"must be counted as one of the founding charters of romantic musical aesthetics\", said one of the most important thinkers of 20th century German musicology, Carl Dahlhaus. The first serious sketches for the symphony date from 1805, and it was composed in 1807-1808. After its premiere in December 1808, Beethoven made some further alterations to the score.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We must accept as authentic Schindler's memo that Beethoven identified the famous motif in the opening movement with \"fate\": \"Fate is banging on the door.\" The entire symphony exemplifies man's desperate battle and the final triumph of human will (Finale). The basic idea is per aspera ad astra - through rough ways to the stars. \"Pretty much every bar of this symphony serves this basic ideal. It is perhaps less rich than the Eroica in its diverse images and flexible episodes, but a good deal more contained and logical, and enjoys a more unified texture. In truth: the logic with which the movements follow one another is perhaps stronger in this Beethoven work than anywhere else.\" (D\u00e9nes Bartha)<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Fifth Symphony is Beethoven's best known work (the most quoted and the most \"used\") and one of the corner stones of 19th century musical thinking. It has perhaps, as a staple component of the 20th century concert repertoire, even been over played and is a favourite example of formal analysis. Her first major role was that of Tatyana in Tchaikovsky's <i>Eugene Onegin<\/i> at the 2004 premiere directed by Bal\u00e1zs Kovalik at the Miskolc International Opera Festival. In almost two decades the National Philharmonic Orchestra underwent renewal. After the death of Zolt\u00e1n Kocsis, the Ferenc Liszt Award-winning Zsolt Hamar held the post of Musical Director at the Hungarian National Philharmonic from March 2017 to August 2020.
