After a childhood defined by listening to music, singing, choirs and playing the piano, at the age of 12 I began attending classes with the teacher Elem\u00e9r Varga with a very clear objective: I would be an oboe player in a symphonic orchestra!<\/p>\n
At the B\u00e9la Bart\u00f3k Vocational High School, from a teacher called J\u00e1nos Kem\u00e9ny I received all the professional and human preparation a young musician at the start of her career could need.<\/p>\n
In 1983, I won first prize in the J\u00e1nos Richter National Woodwind Contest in Gy\u0151r.<\/p>\n
At the Franz Liszt Academy of Music, I attended P\u00e9ter Pongr\u00e1cz’s classes in the oboe department, where G\u00e1bor Dienes and J\u00f3zsef Kiss were also working as teaching assistants. I graduated in 1991.<\/p>\n
I have been a member of the Hungarian National Philharmonic Orchestra since 1987. Over more than 30 years, I have played countless concerts in Hungary, taken part in tours of Europe, America, the Middle East and the Far East, and been part of recordings with the orchestra that have received a string of international recognition and awards. I have also performed as part of an ensemble in chamber music concerts.<\/p>\n
In 1988, I won first place in the Hungarian Radio National Woodwind Contest.<\/p>\n
It was a great experience in my career to be able to participate in the work of the Grazioso Chamber Orchestra, marked by the artistic direction of Zolt\u00e1n Kocsis, and I have also been invited on several occasions to perform in the concerts of the highly successful Kaposv\u00e1r International Chamber Music Festival, otherwise known as Kaposfest.<\/p>\n
From 2005 to 2019, I was able to take part in the education of the next generation of musicians as an oboe teacher at the Franc Liszt Academy of Music and the B\u00e9la Bart\u00f3k Vocational High School. My students have earned a series of awards at the national professional competitions organised in Veszpr\u00e9m every three years (2006: first place, 2009: first and third place, 2012: third place, 2015: first and second place, 2018: first place), while they have also successfully performed in the entrance exams to the Franz Liszt Academy of Music and other Hungarian and Western European higher education musical institutes.<\/p>\n
In 2007, I was accepted into the Franz Liszt Academy of Music Doctoral School. I graduated in 2010, and completing a DLA gave me the opportunity to expand and extend my knowledge and professional expertise.<\/p>\n
Life also presented me with a fantastic new opportunity and a thoroughly enjoyable challenge: in 2009 I was appointed the cor anglais soloist by Zolt\u00e1n Kocsis, giving me significantly more responsibility. I was born under a lucky star, as for more than 30 years, as a member of the Hungarian National Philharmonic Orchestra I have been able to convey my inexhaustible enthusiasm for the classic values of musical compositions, their timeless lessons and the messages of the masterpieces.
