I was eight years old when I started to play the cello at the music school in Keszthely.<\/p>\n
I then went on to continue my studies at the music high school in Szombathely under the guidance of Antal P\u00e1lk\u00f6vi. Thanks to him, I was admitted to the Liszt Academy in 1985.<\/p>\n
There at the music academy in Budapest, I studied under Mikl\u00f3s Per\u00e9nyi, whose impact on my musical tastes and values has lasted throughout my entire life.<\/p>\n

In my view, an authentic musician is one who has no wish to create art for selfish purposes. Someone who never aims to stand out as an individual, but instead pays close attention to her colleagues and is thrilled \u2013 and rejoices along with them \u2013 when they make it through a difficult solo. A true musician plays at exactly the same level and with just as much devotion in a tiny cultural centre in a small rural town as they do in the biggest concert hall in Budapest or abroad.
